NATIONAL
YOUTH SUMMIT ON CORRUPTION AND CORRUPT PRACTICES
The
Africa Leadership Forum is organising a National Youth Summit on
Corruption and Corrupt Practices in Nigeria and Award Ceremony
of the National Essay Competition on Corruption, Corrupt
Practices and Honest Leadership in
Nigeria.
This
event is the final phase of a three-phased project aimed at curbing
the decline of private and public morality, unwholesome
practices/activities especially corruption and corrupt practices which
continue to undermine socio-economic development efforts in Nigeria.
Primarily, the project seeks to raise the awareness of the Nigerian
youth on the menace of corruption in Nigeria with a view to enlisting
them in the campaign against the pandemic. The main project components
include: a) National Essay Competition on Corruption, Corrupt
Practices and Honest Leadership in
Nigeria,
b)
Survey of Youths’ Perception on the Nature and Causes of Corruption in
Nigeria
and c) National Youth Summit on Corruption and Corrupt Practices in
Nigeria
The Youth
Summit is scheduled to hold on the 9th and 10th
of September 2005 respectively. Participants in the Youth Summit
will include young men and women from the six geo-political zones of
Nigeria. The Award Ceremony on the other hand will bring together an
array of dignitaries from private and public sectors, members of the
International Community, Donor and Development Agencies, and reputable
Civil Society organisations among others.

Guest of Honour);

Special Adviser to Mr.
President on Legal Matters

Prof. Egosa Osagie, Vice-Chancellor,
Igbinedion University,
etc.
