The Council of Conveners provides strategic guidance to the Africa Leadership Foundation, meeting annually with the Executive Committee to review activities and identify areas for improvement. The Council comprises distinguished former African leaders, including former presidents and prime ministers, who offer collective wisdom and experience. These individuals include: H.E. Mr. Nicephore Soglo, former President of the Republic of Benin; H.E. Dr. Mario Machungo, former Prime Minister of Mozambique and current Chairman, Africa Leadership Foundation, H.E. Dr John Malacela, former Prime Minister of Tanzania; and H.E. General Toumani Toure, former President of Mali.
