Democratic Leadership Training Workshop    2004 - 2006 Calendar

Method of Application

 Generally, interested participants should please submit a summary resume of 2-pages giving full description of them selves and their experiences as well as submit a 1 page statement of their understanding of leadership as well as their expectations from the training workshops.  Interested participants should please indicate which session they would like to participate in. (Please note however that, this is subject to availability of spaces in the group sessions)  

Specifically 

·        Interested participants for the student groups are expected to submit a letter of attestation from their Student Affairs departments.  (Age 18 – 30 years)

·        Participants for the local government are expected to state previous leadership experiences or professions and the local governments’ councils they chair.  (Age 18 – 40 years)

·        Party Executives should state their party positions (Age 18 – 40 years)

·        NYSC Merit Award Winners should provide a copy of their letters or certificate of Awards and come with the originals to the workshop if selected.

·        Participants from other countries in Sub-Saharan Africa should state their current positions and roles in their institutions of affiliation.

Please note that the ALF is offering limited fellowships available to cover cost of registration, accommodation, meals and workshop materials. Participants will however bear the cost of transport to the venue of the training.

For interested participants from Sub-Saharan Africa, the ALF is working to secure international sponsorships to cover their transport costs to and from Ota Nigeria. All interested are however urged to submit their applications as soon as possible.
